When infusionofstyles travel it's all the way RESORTS and always a spa is a must!

Inside the Kruger National Park lies a lodge like no other. With just six suites in total, Singita Sweni is as exclusive as it is indulgent, offering a calibre of luxury only found in a minute handful of properties around the world. Forget any ‘five star’ rating system, Singita Sweni is in a league of its own. The lodge is positioned among abnormally large packs of lions and offers two all-inclusive game drives per day, as well as a range of bush activities to keep one busy – should you find the motivation to leave your sumptuous suite. Also included are all food and drinks through your stay, alcoholic beverages, (excluding French champagne), mini-bar, room-service, and transfers to and from Singita’s private air strip.

Sounds lush? I’m just getting started.

Singita Sweni Review
Guests are collected from the private airstrip by a Singita vehicle, which escorts them back to the lodge through the Kruger National Park. Upon arrival at the private airstrip guests are welcomed to refreshing beverages and nibbles – but try save yourself for arrival, where you will be welcomed to a lavish three-course lunch with a ‘make any request not on the menu’ policy. Trying to be obscure, I requested a guacamole with hot crisps and found my wish granted within a few minutes, before indulging in a vegetarian frittata (also requested) shortly after.

Once you’ve settled in, it’s just a short while before you first game drive departs from the lodge. Departure times vary throughout the year, but are usually around the 3pm mark for afternoon/night safari. After a few hours on game drive, you’ll be welcomed back to your ‘home away from home’ with open arms, and offered a table at the lodge main restaurant or can even order room service at no extra charge. On the second evening I opted for room service and an in-room massage – quite the way to spend a night at Singita Sweni!

At the lodge guests will also find a swimming pool with sun loungers, a welcoming ‘living room’ with complimentary drinks and snacks never far away, and ample wildlife viewing from the decks overlooking the river. The hotel spa is a short two minute stroll away in Lebombo village (another Singita property) as well as a boutique for trinkets and take home gifts.

Aside from being all inclusive, all rooms are outfitted with air-con, an outside deck with additional outside bed to sleep under the stars, outdoor and indoor showers, board games, and an iPod dock. There are also ample choices inside the complimentary mini-bar, lavish dermalogica bath amenities, electric blankets, and so much more to discover as you walk around the room.

For extra privacy, request suite 6 – the furthest away from the main lodge.

Rooms $2500 per night.
