Summer is here and those pesky Mosquities! Stay tuned and aware oh how to fight them naturally with this recipe:
2 oz. Grain Alcohol (120-190 proof)
1 oz. Distilled Water
30 drops of Lavender Essential Oil
30 drops of Citronella Essential Oil
3 oz. Travel-sized PET Spray Bottle (We got ours at Target)
Lavender essential oils are used by aromatherapists to treat burns and skin irritations as well as to promote calming , ease, often used to treat anxiety, stress, insomnia. Its antiseptic, analgesic properties, Lavender can prevent infection, promote rapid healing, is nontoxic, non-irritating and non-sensitizing. Citronella offers a balanced lemon aroma. Citronella essential oil is used to treat colds, fatigue, headaches, excessive perspiration, has antiseptic, deodorant, insecticide, and anti-parasitic properties. It's nontoxic and non-irritant but may cause skin irritations in some individuals. If you are unsure, don't spray directly on skin, but on socks, hats and clothing. Avoid use of citronella during pregnancy.
